Adding local codes for your own procedures
The core codes cover the ramp work most organisations share. Your procedures will have steps of their own. Local codes let you record those, while every local code sits under a core code so your results stay comparable with the reference and with others.
What it covers
- First, check the core list
- Find the steps that matter
- Guideword questions
- An example: the readback
- Add them to the tool
- Keep it small
A taste
Search the coding guide. Most local needs are already covered, and an "Other" code in the right category is often enough. Add a local code only when a step matters to you, happens often enough to count, and has no close core code.
This comes with the Self-service level and Supported membership.
